FIRMS fire data is near real-time data of all detected fires from the Suomi NPP satellite with a spacial resolution of 375 m. This resolution allows for greater detail in discovering fires at small to medium scale.
The data used in the rainforest maps are updated at at midnight (CET) every day, ensuring the latest data is available.
Currently the data is filtered to show the following regions:

• Amazon rainforest: data available here
• Kongo Basin not yet available
• South Aast Asianot yet available
